Downtown Trick or Treat
Join us for the best trick or treating experience in Ferndale!
This free, fun and safe outdoor event takes place on Saturday, October 29 from 3-5 p.m. along Main Street and draws over1,500 children from all over Whatcom County.
With over 40 stops at local businesses there will be plenty of candy to go around.
Maps can be picked up after October 20 at the Ferndale Chamber of Commerce, Ferndale Mini Mart and at the Ferndale Public Library or online.

Haunt the Park
In addition to Downtown Trick or Treat, we are proud to present our second annual Haunt the Park, co-hosted with the Ferndale Heritage Society. In our first annual event, held in 2015, we saw over 1,300 attendees. Kids and their families head down to Pioneer Park directly after Downtown Trick or Treat from 5-7pm for trick or treating of the historic decorated cabins, carnival themed family-fun activities, as well as some creepy zombies!

2017 Spirit of Ferndale Calendar

img_20160929_163912783It’s time to show your Ferndale spirit by way of submitting a photo of Ferndale, or by sponsoring an ad in the 2017 calendar!
Each year we print and distribute 750 Ferndale calendars that feature beautiful photos of Ferndale submitted by local community members in our Spirit of Ferndale Calendar Photo Contest.
If you have great Ferndale photos, please submit them along with a photo release form (found at www.ferndale-chamber.com) by October 10.
If you are interested in advertising, the cost is just $150 for a business card sized advertisement. Your ad would be featured on the month of your choice within the calendar with no more than two other ads beside it, giving your ad prominent placement and not lost in a sea of ads. First come first serve basis–call today to reserve your month.
Please contact Kelsey for more details or to reserve your ad.

Luncheon Price to Increase in 2017

12743850_10153950456282427_4448582279358982444_nDue to an increased cost to the Chamber, we will be increasing the price of our luncheons beginning in February 2017.  Pre-registered lunches will increase to $20 per person and non-RSVP or late RSVP lunches will increase to $22 per person.
As it is being requested that we provide our number of attendees to the Silver Reef sooner, we will also be asking members to RSVP by the Friday before the luncheon in order to receive the pre-registered rate.
“We want to thank the Silver Reef for affording us many years of a great deal for such a fabulous lunch,” said Ann Serwold, Executive Director of the Ferndale Chamber.
“We are past due for an increase and with an increase to the Chamber, unfortunately this means passing that cost down to our members. We look forward to continuing to provide a quality program during our luncheons and will be looking for ways to add more value in 2017.”

Ambassador of the Quarter, Fall 2016

shasonta-delmage-new-photoI love helping people feel their best through high quality food and intentional movement. This love led me to switch careers in my late 30s from marketing communications to fitness and nutrition. I currently manage CrossFit X and love seeing people achieve things they never thought they could! It’s all about providing a supportive, community-driven environment where people feel safe and want to push themselves to try new, amazing things.
I became an ambassador because I want to get to know my local community, meet other businesses and people right in my backyard, help further the Chamber’s mission, and I increase pride in our community and enhance and support quality economic growth.
Shasonta was chosen by her fellow Ambassadors as the Ambassador of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2016.

Planning for 2017?

Over the last few years we have worked tirelessly to add lots of exiting opportunities for your business to get involved with our events and programs and get the most bang for your buck.
From events such as the Street Festival and Haunt the Park, which work to connect businesses to the community as well as events like Membership Luncheons and the Annual Banquet which work to connect businesses to other businesses, there is something for everyone and we encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities.
What’s even better? If you schedule your sponsorship for 2017 and commit at a certain monetary threshold, you begin to receive discounts on your sponsorship, giving your an even better bang for your buck.
If you would like to meet with us and talk about sponsorship options through the Chamber for 2017, please contact Kelsey at [email protected] or 385-3042 and she would be more than happy to  chat with you.
Investing in your community is an important step when it comes to getting your businesses name out there as a trusted resource.
We are looking forward to hearing from you and helping you stretch your advertising dollars further.  Contact us now to make sure you get the best options available before they are taken!

New Online Chamber Forum

The Chamber is excited to bring another new program to you. The Business Advocacy group decided that the best way to handle getting our members talking without having another meeting for everyone to attend is to start online forums. These forums are meant to give Members a place to ask questions of other members, share insight, give advice and talk about what is going on in our community. Topics will range from Businesses on the Move to HR, Nonprofits & more. I encourage you to check it out on our website under “Members Only” and get talking!
